FINE-LINE TATTOO
Fine line tattoos - delicate in style, meaningful and expressive. I like to think that they tell a story, in one way of another.
Created with traditional ink and a single and very small needle and or tiny needle configurations.. The needles can create extremely fine lines and detailing. Fine-line tattoos are permanent and they may need to be touched up through-out the years like most body art tattooing will.
Please submit a design request for all fine-line tattoo sessions. Include design idea, preferred size and placement. Once design is approved, a deposit is required and we can schedule your session.

PRE AND POST CARE
PRE-CARE
Avoid blood thinners such as over the counter NSAIDS's, niacin, fish oils, smoking nicotine and alcohol 48 hour prior to your procedure. Blood thinners will cause excessive bleeding and affect the way your skin retains the pigment and heals.
Come hydrated with H20 to your appointment.
Avoid excessive sun exposure for two weeks before your procedure. As your skin exfoliates from a sunburn, it can affect and lift the ink resulting in poor retention.
You can not be on antibiotics, or immune suppressant prescriptions at the time of your tattoo session. If you have recently been on medication, please let the studio know prior to your tattoo session as the date may need to be adjusted.
POST-CARE
A thin film will be used to cover your tattoo to protect it. The film needs to be kept on for typically 5 days! It is normal that you see fluids build-up and smudging inside of the film.
It is typically for the tattooed skin to feel like a slight sun burn, to be red and raised
Avoid water on the tattoo for 3-5 days.
When you start to wash your tattooed skin after the film is removed, do so with clean finger pads only and provided cleanser. Avoid abrasive material such as loofas, exfoliating pads etc. for 10 days.
After the film is removed, apply a thin layer of the provided balm a few times a day.
Avoid sauna, hot yoga, steam room, excessive sweating on the tattoo area for at least 10 days.
After the film is removed, avoid stretching, scratching or stretching the surrounding skin and tattoo for at least 10 days. If the skin is stretched, it can cause bleeding of the ink and poor color retention.
There will be a light shedding as your tattoo heals and your skin regenerates.
If at any time there is excessive swelling, redness or weeping, please contact S L Tattoo and your physician as soon as possible.
After your tattoo is completely healed, always apply SPF with sun exposure to ensure long term integrity of tattoo.
*All tattoos and skin will heal differently. S L Tattoo is not liable for healing or results. Following after-care protocol will help provide best healed results.
